The next person in my list of influential people of the world is Jeffrey Preston Bezos. Jeffrey Bezos was born on January 12, 1964 in the USA.

 

He graduated from Princeton University in 1986. From this year, his career on Wall Street started and lasted until 1994. That year he left his well-paying job to found Amazon.com, the site, which turned him into the most famous and wealthiest man of the world according to Forbs today.

 

The name “Amazon” has its own symbolism. Jeff Bezos chose it looking up in a dictionary. He decided to associate his site with the biggest river of the world the name of which is the first to be found according to an alphabetical order. The site was an online bookstore. Nowadays you can find variety of products on Amazon.

 

Could you run your business without any profits for four or five years? If not, that`s a pity as Amazon`s initial business plan expected so. Anyway, as you have already understood “patience pays!” The site`s first profit was $5 million in 2001. Now he is worth $118.8 billion. Can you imagine it? Now, let us look through how he came to be the wealthiest man of the world! I mentioned about success tips in the beginning, and it`s time to count them.

 

1. Concentration. It is what makes someone accomplish his or her fulfilments, goals successfully. Jeff Bezos admits that he pays all of his attention to what he does. You can find some examples of it from his interviews.

 

2. The ability of foreseeing future. The foundation of Amazon.com coincided with the development of the Internet era. Starting from selling e-books, the variety and number of products have been increasing. Jeff Bezos could imagine that future is impossible to imagine without the World Wide Web.

 

3. Keen desire to succeed. As I told before, Amazon.com didn`t make Jeff Bezos the most famous and wealthiest man of the world in a year. However, he didn`t give up. Nothing stopped him. Judging by his achievements it is not so difficult to deduce that he believed his success. Otherwise, we wouldn`t be talking about him now, perhaps!

 

4. Curious Behavior. If you pay attention to Amazon.com, you can see that the site has subsidiaries as Amazon Books, Amazon Web Services, et cetera. I suppose Jeff Bezos` curiosity, his behavior to know everything turns his amazon.com from an online bookstore into the most famous website of the world.

 

5. Love for his job. I am sure one must love his job with the greatest love to wait for it to make a profit for four years. I am also positive about the fact that ordinary people don`t achieve their aim just because of lack of love for their jobs. Each of the abovementioned tips were the result of my deduction investigating some information on Jeff Bezos` personal life and his business career.
